Study Options

Teaching is delivered live in every mode. The college does not offer recorded self-study courses: every lesson is a timetabled class led by a subject specialist, with no more than eleven other students present. The fee is the same whichever mode a student chooses.

The Three Modes

Recommended for first-time sciences

On Campus

Timetabled lessons at 167 Commercial Road, London E1 2DA. Laboratory sessions, supervised study and mock examinations take place at the college.

The full weekend or weekday evening timetable

Mock examinations sat under JCQ conditions on site

Practical endorsement blocks in the college laboratory

Live, not recorded

Live Online

The same timetable, the same teacher and the same group, joined remotely. Students attend the lesson rather than watch a recording of it.

Delivered on the college’s own teaching platform rather than a third-party video service

The same fee as on-campus study

Lessons recorded and available in the lesson library afterwards

For students outside London

Hybrid

A combination of on-campus and remote attendance, for students travelling from outside London or arranging study around employment. Students attend some lessons at the college and join others on the college platform, with the pattern agreed at enrolment.

The same fee as on-campus and online study

Laboratory days and mock examinations are attended at the college

This applies to any provider. Several established online schools offer science A Levels to UK-based students at between £7,500 and £18,000 a year, and a review of their published material on 14 August 2026 did not identify any that addresses the practical endorsement. Prospective students offered a science A Level entirely online should establish how the endorsement will be obtained before enrolling.

Provision Common to Every Mode

  • The same timetabled lesson, the same subject specialist and the same class cap of twelve
  • Examination entry at LMSC as the candidate’s centre, with awarding body fees included
  • Three mock examinations under JCQ conditions, marked to board standard
  • A predicted grade issued against a published methodology, and a UCAS reference
  • A named academic tutor and a fortnightly written progress report
  • Access to the recorded lesson library

Applicants should state the location they would travel from. Where a science is involved, the laboratory days are the fixed constraint around which the remainder of the programme is arranged.
