All teaching blocks for the academic year. The weekend and weekday evening programmes are the same course at the same fee, and the blocks are arranged so that the most frequently taken subject combinations do not clash.

2026/27

Weekend Blocks

Two blocks each day, of three hours. Where a subject appears twice, the second listing is a separate group, so a full class does not prevent a student from taking that subject.

Weekday Evening Blocks

One or two subjects each evening, Monday to Friday, from 18:00 to 21:00. Mathematics runs on both Monday and Thursday and therefore combines with any other subject.

Subject Combinations

The weekend timetable is constructed around the five combinations most frequently requested. All are attendable without compromise:

  • Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine
  • Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics, for Engineering and Physics
  • Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics
  • Mathematics, Economics and Business
  • Psychology, Biology and Chemistry

Applicants whose combination does not appear should contact admissions before enrolling, and it will be checked against the blocks. Subject requirements by degree.

Practical Endorsement Blocks

Separate from the weekly timetable. Four consecutive days, 09:00 to 16:00, running in November, February and April, with approximately twelve places per block.

A block is required only where a student is sitting a science for the first time, or did not previously pass the endorsement. An existing endorsement carries forward across all JCQ boards with no time limit. The practical endorsement block.

Full-Time Study

Full-time programmes run on a daytime timetable rather than in blocks: five hours a week per subject, or fifteen hours a week for the standard three-subject programme, with supervised study between lessons. Individual timetables are issued at enrolment. One-year A Levels.
