A complete A-Level, taught from the start of the specification to the final paper, in one academic year. This is the route for a substantial grade improvement, for changing subject entirely, and for taking an A-Level you have never studied.

Two years of content in one year is a real compression. It works, and it works often, but it works because of contact hours and pace, not because the specification gets smaller.
When One Year Is the Right Answer
You are starting the subject from scratch. Three hours a week is enough to rebuild a subject you have studied. It is not enough to learn one from nothing. If you want an A-Level you have never taken. This is the honest route and we will say so at the diagnostic.
You need a large grade movement. Moving from a C to a B is often a technique problem. Moving from a D or an E to an A is usually a knowledge problem, and knowledge takes hours.
You are changing direction. Students who need different subjects for a different degree, mathematics and physics for engineering, chemistry and biology for a health-related course, are rebuilding a whole portfolio, not repairing one grade.
You have a year and want to use it. A gap year spent full time on three A-Levels is a materially different proposition from the same year spent on one evening a week.

Step by step
How the Year Runs
September, a Genuine Start
Teaching begins at the start of the specification, not at the point your previous course reached. Students arriving from different schools with different coverage are brought to a common baseline in the first weeks.
Autumn, Content at Pace
The bulk of the specification is covered between September and Christmas. This is the demanding part of the year and the part that determines the outcome.
January and February, Entries and the First Full Mocks
Exam entries are made and confirmed with you in writing well before the deadline of 21 February 2027. A full mock series runs under exam conditions and produces the evidence for your predicted grade.
Spring, the Second Pass
The specification is covered again at speed, now with the mock evidence showing where the gaps are. Science practicals are completed for candidates who need a new endorsement.
April and May, Papers Only
Almost entirely past papers, timing and mark-scheme discipline. An Easter intensive is available separately at £595 a subject.
June and August, Exams and Results
Papers in May and June. Results on Thursday 12 August 2027.
Questions
Questions About the One-Year Course
Yes. The qualification, the specification, the papers and the certificate are identical. Nothing on the certificate records how long you studied.
Yes. The twelve required practicals are scheduled through the year alongside the taught course. If you already hold an endorsement Pass from a previous attempt it carries forward, and you neither repeat the practicals nor pay for them.
Three is the standard load for a university application. Two is right if you are adding to A-Levels you already hold. Four is possible but demanding, and we will discuss honestly at the diagnostic whether it is realistic for you.
Only alongside Mathematics, and only where your existing mathematics is strong. Further Mathematics assumes the content of Mathematics rather than following it, so the two are taught together and the combined pace is significant.
We identify it in the weekly marked work rather than at the mock, which is the point of marking weekly. One-to-one tuition at £75 an hour is available where a specific gap needs closing, but it is offered as a remedy and never assumed.
Yes. This is the route for that. What we look at is your GCSE grade in the subject or a closely related one, and the diagnostic assessment. There is no single published threshold because the honest answer depends on the subject.
We do not run a January cohort. Compressing a full A-Level into the months between January and May is not something we are willing to offer, because we do not believe it works.
Not by the 16 to 19 funding system in most cases. DfE funding rules state that funding is not available for students repeating a year solely to improve a grade for higher education applications. See how A-Level resits are funded.
It is faster, smaller, and paid for privately. What it does not offer is two years of gradual maturation alongside the content. For a student who already has that, the compression is an advantage; for one who does not, it is a risk, and we would rather discuss that before you enrol than after.
We tell you, in writing, in the termly report and in person. A predicted grade has to be defensible to a university, so it reflects the evidence rather than the ambition. What you do with that information, adjust the target, add hours, change the plan, is a conversation we have early enough for it to matter.

Every teacher here is a graduate of a Russell Group university and teaches their own subject. You are taught by a specialist who knows the specification and the examiners’ reports, not by a generalist covering four subjects.
