Evening A-Level provision in London is thin enough that the most common search result for it is a forum thread asking where to find it. This is our answer to that question.

How the Evening Timetable Works

Each subject runs once a week for three hours, between 18:00 and 21:00, on a fixed weekday. Blocks run Monday to Friday, so up to four subjects can be taken without a clash and with an evening left over.

The teaching is the same as every other route: specialist teaching against the awarding body specification, weekly written work marked to the mark scheme, a full mock series, and a predicted grade evidenced by that mock performance. Your specific evenings are confirmed in writing before you pay anything.

Who Chooses the Evening Route

Students Already at a School or College

Taking a subject their institution does not offer, or adding a fourth A-Level. Note that you cannot be entered as both an internal and a private candidate at the same centre in the same series, but being taught here and entered elsewhere, or the reverse, is entirely normal.

Adults in Daytime Work

A subject needed for a career change, a degree application, or a professional requirement. There is no upper age limit on entry to an A-Level.

Resitters Who Work

Improving a grade while holding down a job. Three hours a week per subject plus your own study is a realistic commitment alongside full-time employment for one or two subjects.

Evening Fees

Identical to the weekend rate. No deposit and no registration fee.

Questions

Questions About Evening Study

21:00. Sessions do not overrun, because most students have a journey home and some have work the next morning.

Yes, where both have space. Fees are charged on the total number of subjects, so the combination costs no more than taking the same subjects on one timetable.

Not for teaching. It matters only for exam entry: an awarding body rule prevents a candidate being entered as both an internal and a private candidate at the same centre in the same series. Where you sit is a decision to make deliberately, and we will walk you through it before you enrol.

We publish travel and access information in the enrolment pack rather than on this page, because we would rather give you accurate detail for your specific journey than a general claim.

The twelve required practicals for a science practical endorsement are scheduled separately from the taught evening block, because they need laboratory time rather than classroom time. If you already hold an endorsement Pass it carries forward and you do not repeat them, see the carry-forward guide.

No. Each subject has a fixed evening. The full block allocation is confirmed before enrolment so you can check it against your own week before committing.

Why Study This Course Here

Included with the course, rather than charged for later.

Full UCAS Support As Standard

We are a UCAS registered centre, so your application, predicted grades and reference come from us rather than from a school you left. Personal statement work, choices and Clearing are included with every course, not sold as an extra.

An Accredited Cambridge International School

Accreditation is a standard applied to teaching, assessment and centre administration, and it is assessed rather than self-declared. It is the reason we can run examinations properly for our own students and for private candidates.

A Science Laboratory on Site

The twelve required practical activities for Biology, Chemistry and Physics run here, in our own laboratory, supervised and assessed for the practical endorsement. Many providers cannot offer this at all, which is why science candidates are so often turned away.

NEA and Coursework Supervised Properly

Non-exam assessment has to be supervised and authenticated by the centre entering you. We do that work, including the Computer Science programming project, rather than leaving you to find somewhere that will.

Teachers from Russell Group Universities

Every teacher here is a graduate of a Russell Group university and teaches their own subject. You are taught by a specialist who knows the specification and the examiners’ reports, not by a generalist covering four subjects.

Careers Advisers, Not Just Teachers

Course choices constrain degree choices, and degree choices constrain careers. Our advisers work backwards from where you want to end up, including the cases where the honest answer is that a different route gets you there faster.

Where an Evening A-Level Leads

Designed for students already in a school or college by day, and for adults in daytime work.

  • Adding a Subject Your School Does Not Offer

Take the fourth subject, or the one your timetable blocked, without leaving where you are.

  • University Entry As an Adult Learner

There is no upper age limit on A-Level entry, and we handle the UCAS application including the reference.

  • Career Change

Evening study is the usual route into a science or engineering degree for someone already working.
